PROJECT EXPERIENCE:

On-Process DCS Migration for Oil Refinery

Worked with engineering design firm overseeing upgraded control panel design, marshalling panel/junction box drawings and loop diagrams to handle various types of old I/O signals (numbering in the thousands). Obtained quotes and procured necessary hardware from control system vendor. Migrated I/O tags from Honeywell TPS to Honeywell Experion PKS alongside upgrading plant operators' DCS graphics within Honeywell HMIWeb Display.

SCADA Implementation for Oil Refinery

Built SCADA system to monitor electrical system variables (loads, breaker states, outages, etc) at electrical distribution locations plant-wide. Wired SCADA junction box for power distribution. Configured and commissioned hardware components of SCADA system (gateways, switches, thin client and HMI).

Electrical/Control System Design for Multiple Ethanol Plants

Designing controls design plans based on Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. Designing electrical design plans based on Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. Creating recommended operating procedures/interlock tables, instrument specifications, loops drawings, one-line diagrams. power/lighting/grounding plans and control valve sizing calculations.

Electrical System Design for Bourbon Distillery

Designed and drafted drawings to accommodate various electrical loads (motors, lighting, receptacles etc). Worked with owners/electrical contractors to specify equipment for distillery and review vendor quotes. The complete drawing set included site plan, lighting plan, power plan, panel schedules, equipment connection schedule and hazardous area classification drawings.

Arc Flash Study for Packaging Plant

Collected data from newly added electrical components at the client site to model into arc flash software, generated labels for components and created an arc flash report for the client.
